SYS TEC Electronic GmbH and A.N. Solutions GmbH Develop a New Gateway Platform to Connect CAN Devices over IEEE 802.15.4-Based Networks

November 24, 2010 - SYS TEC electronic GmbH and Adaptive Network Solutions GmbH announced today the launch of sysWORXX IEEE 802.15.4 Gateway. This off-the shelf product presents an efficient solution for enhancing the CAN and CANopen-based environment with standard IEEE 802.15.4 wireless networking technology, and facilitates customized ZigBee and 6LoWPAN solutions. The gateway will be available in two versions: with built-in internal antenna and with external antenna adapted via SMA connector.

Additionally, @ANY SMS facilitates the incorporation of numerous custom features, allowing developers an utmost flexibility.

Featuring the built-in chip antenna and 2MBit memory extensions, @ANY900 module presents a future-proof, fully integrated solution for the system integrators and OEMs. @ANY900-1 RF modules are fully pin-compatible with @ANY 2.4 GHz hardware products, and interoperable with corresponding Atmel's ZigBit(TM) modules. @ANY900-1 RF module is scheduled to achieve ETSI Certification in Q1 of 2010.

@ANY900 USB dongle is a handy USB extension that enables easy access to mobile & portable devices via reliable USB connectivity and can be used for monitoring & control of wireless network systems. Based on @ANY900-1 RF module, the @ANY900 Dongle makes integration a breeze, while the built-in chip antenna enables rapid design-in, requiring no RF knowledge and benefiting from the standard USB interface.

Smart MAC Suite (SMS) toolchain offers easy control of @ANY platform's functionality via AT commands to support all IEEE 802.15.4-based functions, as well as facilitates addition of numerous custom features. SMS Base version supports standard application scenarios, such as Point-to-Point & Star, while SMS Pro version facilitates development of complex applications and supports additional topologies with static routing.
