How to select an appropriate temperature operation range?

Standard applications have a working range from -10°C to +50°C, but many applications require a reliable support of extended temperature ranges, which must be considered during the design by the selection of correct components:

• Crystals with required accuracies over the extended temperature range
• Batteries with required power budget and applicable technology to operate in extreme and harsh conditions
• Usability restrictions for displays, foil keyboards, and other HMI technologies
