Home & Building Automation
Modern building technology encompasses a variety of monitoring and control systems, such as heating controls, smoke detectors, shade and rolling shutter systems, lighting controls, electricity meters, gas meters, water meters, all of which are networked and centrally controlled. Safety, energy efficiency and comfort are the priorities.
Planning Wireless Building and Home Automation
We design and develop software and hardware systems to network and automate building services and control building functions using wireless sensor networks. A.N. Solutions are the experts at integrating custom interfaces with cloud databases and connected sensors such as pressure, temperature, humidity, dew point, position sensor, proximity sensors, air quality, brightness sensors, temperature, color and heat control (RGB). We provide solutions in the following areas:
- Heating, ventilation and air conditioning
- Lighting control
- Safety systems
- Structural integrity monitoring
- Access control
- and more
The aim of wireless building control is to supplement conventional wired systems and to have all components perform seamlessly in a network. Retrofitting a building with cables is prohibitively expensive and wireless solutions can offer significant savings. In addition, the use of wireless data transmission such as WLAN, Bluetooth, or ZigBee, gives the end user the possibility of extending existing systems with a higher number of subscriber measuring points.
We implement different types of networks using the popular IEEE802.15.4 wireless standard, and network extensions, such as ZigBee and 6Lowpan. Battery-powered devices and sensors can be connected wirelessly in self-organizing, self-healing mesh networks. In this way, a wide range of operations can be efficiently coordinated and linked by modern building management systems. Operation is simplified for the user and the operator has comprehensive evaluation and control options.
Development of Intelligent Lighting Control Systems
@ANY RF modules are best compared to wireless network cards for devices. They are easy to integrate and enable a market launch in the shortest time possible. Additionally, @ANY modules offer low power consumption and best-in-class range.
A wireless sensor network based on @ANY modules enables efficient lighting control for a desired brightness in the room. Spot lights can be controlled centrally and adjusted automatically. This form of lighting control raises system performance to a whole new level and increases customer satisfaction.
Module functions can be individually adapted and integrated if required. Our engineers will be happy to answer your questions in detail.
Smart WSN Climate Control
Whether it’s an office or a residential building, the intelligent climate controls offer coverage of the following functions:
- Heating
- Ventilation
- Air conditioning
- Temperature monitoring
- Moisture measurement
- Air quality assurance
Adapting the Climate Control System to Special Structural Features
Using wireless networks, the existing wired control systems can be perfectly expanded without any additional investments into upgrades to the building structure.
Different environments can be accommodated by using specific radio standards:
- Steel construction
- Wooden construction
- Reinforced concrete
- Concrete
- Drywall construction
Wireless range is optimized depending on the varying damping and propagation conditions found in building materials and constructions.
There are two types of @ANY RF modules operating in different frequency bands:
- @ANY2400 uses the worldwide 2.4 GHz industrial, scientific and medical (ISM) radio band.
- @ANY900 operates in the 868/915 MHz ISM bands.
The Sub-1 GHz frequencies are particularly advantageous for indoor use because of their superior ability to penetrate walls. One of the @ANY RF modules can be selected to perfectly match the needs of your application, depending on the specific building structures and wall materials.
Robust Hardware and Software
Our @ANY module platforms with the appropriate software will optimize the advantages of ZigBee networks by combining low power consumption with wide operating range. This results in reduced maintenance costs (a single sensor or actuator unit can operate for more than five years without battery replacement) and fewer nodes required to cover a specific area.
